Fire Department

A Kennedy Heights resident heard an alarm sounding somewhere in the neighborhood. She couldn't tell where it was coming from, the Madison Fire Department was called to investigate.

Engine 10 arrived to the 200 block of Kennedy Heights and searched the area. They ultimately found a smoke alarm sounding in a dumpster in a nearby parking lot.

The smoke alarm was silenced and firefighters left the area, noting no actual smoke or fire in the vicinity.

It's not known why the alarm was sounding or why it was discarded.
