Address:
3100 block Monroe St.
Madison, WI
Narrative:

The Madison Fire Department was called to the 3100 block of Monroe Street Thursday for a vehicle fire. Engine 4 arrived to find a Ford truck parked along the road with the engine compartment fully engulfed in flames. Objects were on fire as they dripped from the engine compartment onto the roadway, and the fire had extended into the passenger compartment.

The owner reported he bought the truck brand new in 1979 but it only had approximately 50,000 miles on it. Though he had some radiator work done a few weeks ago, the true cause of the fire is not yet determined.
