Summer Hours Are 3/26/16 to 12/4/16

Don’t let this week’s weather forecast get you down.  Spring is here, Madison!  Birds are returning. Baseball’s opening day is around the corner.  And the city’s yard waste drop off sites are expanding their hours starting Saturday, March 26.

Starting on Saturday, March 26, all three of Madison’s yard waste drop off sites begin “Summer” hours and will be open seven days a week.  The sites will be open 8:30am to 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  And the sites will be open 8:30am to 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Summer hours will end for the year on Sunday, December 4.

The sites are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd., 4602 Sycamore Ave., and 402 South Point Rd.  Please note that the South Point Rd. location only accepts yard waste.  The other two drop off sites are full service, meaning residents can dispose of any item that the Streets Division can collect at the curb, but other restrictions may apply.  Please visit the drop off site web page for other relevant restrictions.  All three sites are available only for city of Madison residents or taxpayers.  Individuals using the site will be asked to prove their residency or taxpayer status, so be prepared to show a driver’s license or another official form – such as a utility bill or a tax bill.

Until the hours expand on Saturday, the drop off sites are open for “Winter” hours, meaning only the Badger Rd. and Sycamore Ave. locations are available, and they are open only Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm.
