The 600 block of West Washington Avenue between Bedford Street and Proudfit Street will be closed Saturday, March 4, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. so that subcontractors for the Wisconsin Southern Railroad Company can install railroad barrier gates at the railroad crossing in the middle of this block. Although local traffic will be permitted to the businesses in this block, through traffic will be detoured around the work zone using Bedford Street, West Main Street, and Proudfit Street. Motorists who have
an opportunity to avoid this area during the closure are encouraged to do so.
