Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27th, all streets crossing State Street will be closed for Freakfest. Attendees of the Wisconsin vs. Michigan State football game are anticipated to begin exiting the Camp Randall area from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Westbound and southbound traffic exiting the Camp Randall area will not be affected.

Johnson Street will be closed for Freakfest. Eastbound Johnson street traffic will be detoured onto Bassett Street, to inbound West Washington Avenue, to the Outer Loop. City of Madison Police Officers will assist with the detour at key intersections. Detour signs, electronic message boards, parking restrictions, and special traffic signal timing will be used to facilitate traffic on the detour route. Traffic delays are expected. Motorists are asked to plan accordingly.

Left turns from eastbound Regent Street to northbound Park Street will not be allowed.

The Johnson Street Detour will begin at 5:00 p.m. and is expected to last until approximately 8:00 p.m., or until football traffic dissipates.

Motorists planning on being downtown on Saturday afternoon are encouraged to view the maps under the "Freakfest Maps" section on the city's Halloween web page:
