Due to various project delays, Terra Engineering & Construction will keep North Charter Street fully closed to traffic at all times between University Avenue and West Johnson Street to expedite work on a University of Wisconsin steam tunnel.  Previously, a southbound traffic lane was open during the afternoon. 

Project managers are now expecting to reopen North Charter Street in January 2019. 

Metro Transit buses have detoured to North Randall Avenue.
