UPDATE: Due to technical issues dismantling the tower crane, West Gilman Street will remain closed until approximately 5:00 PM on Saturday February 4th. 
 
Beginning Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 AM until approximately 5:00 PM, Saturday, February 4th,  JH Findorff and their subcontractors will be disassembling the tower crane which is being used at The James apartment construction project at 510 University Avenue.  During this time, West Gilman Street will be closed between University Avenue and State Street. 
 
The weather forecast looks favorable and delays are not expected.  However, should high winds occur, there is a possibility that the closure will extend into Saturday. 
 
During the closure on West Gilman Street, two-way traffic from North Broom Street and from University Avenue to residences and businesses on West Gilman Street will be permitted.  
 
Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on West Gilman Street and to all residences and businesses at all times during this street closure. 
 
Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays during this closure.
