The springtime yard waste collection by the Streets Division is now over.

The yard waste set-out dates for all neighborhoods have passed.

Do not place yard waste out for pickup again until the start of the fall pickup season.

What should you do with yard waste now that curbside pickup is over?
Take the material to one of the Streets Division drop-off sites.

Residents may also want to try composting or mulching grass clippings into their lawn.

When will curbside yard waste collection start again?
Curbside yard waste collection will return in the fall.

The dates when you should put yard waste at the curb for pickup this fall will be announced later this year.

What is yard waste?
Yard waste is considered weeds, leaves, grass clippings, and other plant debris that you have raked or pulled from your lawns or gardens. Yard waste is hauled to a processor where it is composted.

The woody limbs and branches you cut from trees, shrubs, and bushes are not yard waste. That is brush. More information about brush collection can be found at www.cityofmadison.com/BrushCollection.
