Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, Vilas Park Drive will be closed to traffic until approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17.  The parking lot at S Orchard Street will remain open as will the parking lot along Edgewood Ave.

When Vilas Park Dr. reopens, it will be with a new traffic operation pattern.  The eastern end from S Orchard Street to the Vilas Park Shelter will change from one-way to two-way motor vehicle traffic.  The western end from Edgewood Avenue to the shelter will now be closed to motor vehicle traffic. This space will provide an improved space for people walking and biking. Additional pedestrian access improvements along Vilas Park Drive will also be made to further enhance the accessibility of the park.
