The contractor will begin major closures of South Blair Street on Monday, April 4.  Northbound lanes of South Blair Street will be completely closed at all times.  There will be signage on the John Nolen Drive causeway directing the public to use the signed alternate route (Broom Street to West Wilson Street to South Hamilton Street to Outer Loop to East Washington Avenue).  All eastbound John Nolen Drive traffic that proceeds beyond Broom Street will be required to turn right onto Williamson Street.

This configuration will also close southbound South Blair Street traffic with the exception of a single lane open during the weekday morning rush (7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.).  There will be signage on inbound East Washington Avenue directing the public to use the signed alternate route (East Washington Avenue to Outer Loop to West Washington Avenue).

See attached map for traffic routes.  These general traffic routes will remain until approximately the end of June.  However, there will be sub-phases within this timeframe.

This project is a full reconstruction of South Blair Street, including the Blair/Wilson/Williamson/John Nolen intersection.  Project completion is scheduled for early November.
