As the month of Ramadan is here, on behalf of the Common Council of the City of Madison, we would like to wish the Muslim community a successful Ramadan. It is our hope that during this time of spiritual reflection, rejuvenation, improvement and increased devotion and worship, the entire Madison community can reflect on how we can best live, work and build together with open communication and fellowship and partnership to eradicate hate, disparities and religious biases. Madison and the State of Wisconsin face many challenges but with your hope, prayers, devotion and commitment, which are strong attributes of your community, we can work together to create a thriving City to address the current pandemic, poverty, homelessness and inequities. These challenges will require the engagement and participation of everyone in the community.

By the end of the season, we hope that not only will you be reenergized in your spiritual faith and charity but also that you will be ready to continue our partnership in healing the City of Madison and improving the State of Wisconsin.
