There are two separate construction projects on the Outer Loop in 2013.

1.) Fairchild Street & Mifflin Street:

On Monday, March 25th, the City of Madison along with Raymond P Cattell, Inc. will begin the reconstruction of Fairchild Street between Mifflin Street and West Washington Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on this block until the completion of the project in mid-May.

Mifflin Street will be reconstructed between Henry Street and Fairchild Street. Traffic on Mifflin Street between Henry Street and Fairchild Street will remain one-way towards Henry Street through the end of the project in mid-May.

2.) Webster Street:

On Friday, March 29th, the City of Madison along with Capitol Underground, Inc. will begin the reconstruction of Webster Street between King Street and East Washington Ave. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Webster Street for the duration of construction.

The Webster/Doty/King intersection will also be reconstructed with this project. King Street will be reduced to one outbound lane of traffic for the duration of the project. Right turns from Doty Street to King Street will be maintained at all times.

This project is expected to be completed in early July.

Access to all business will be maintained at all times during the project. Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID) has developed a Downtown Get-Around Guide to help patrons find their way during these construction projects. The guide as well as other project info can be found on the City's website at: http://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/OuterLoop/
