Starting Monday, June 6th, Speedway Sand & Gravel will begin the reconstruction of North Lake Street between University Avenue and West Dayton Street.  The block of North Lake Street between West Dayton Street and West Johnson Street will be closed for the duration of the project.  The block between West Johnson Street and University Avenue will have one northbound traffic lane for the duration of the project. 
 
The contractor will be allowed to close one traffic lane of West Johnson Street through the Lake Street intersection during peak hours and will be allowed to close two lanes during off-peak hours in order to install sanitary sewer across the intersection. 
 
The project is expected to be completed in mid-August.
