The City and its contractors are planning to begin construction on Highland Avenue on Monday, May 6th. The project will consist of the installation of a major storm sewer tunnel, replacement of concrete curb and gutter, drive aprons and new asphalt pavement.

To facilitate the construction, Highland Ave will be closed to one lane in each direction between Old University Avenue and Campus Drive.

Access to all businesses will be maintained. Sidewalk on at least one side of the street will be open at all times.

The project is expected to last until end of August. Severe congestion is expected during the lane closure for peak traffic hours, and motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid delay during this project.
