City of Madison Firefighters responded to an overnight house fire at 926 Blaine Dr. The call came in just before midnight; 11:39 Friday night.

Engine Company 10 arrived just two minutes after the call came in, and had the fire knocked down within 10 minutes of their arrival.

As they approached the home, crews observed flames up to the roof at a rear corner of the residence. Madison Police were on scene attempting to locate an occupant.

The fire was discovered by neighbors who live behind the property. They saw a glow coming from the house on Blaine and called 911. The neighbor then ran to the house to awaken the occupant. He emerged from the home with no injuries.

The fire caused considerable damage to the rear corner where it appears to have started and further damage in the attic of the home. A car parked in the driveway had heat damage.

Fire crews remained at the scene to extinguish hot spots in the attic.

Total damages are estimated at $90,000.
