Celebrate your family tree! The staff of Madison Public Library is proud to announce a new web page featuring local genealogical resources available in print and via the internet. Many families get together for reunions during the summer, so now is a great time to gather information and fill in the branches on your family tree. Your public library can be your first stop to finding the information you need.

The materials featured on the website include books available from the Madison Public Libraries, genealogy databases available to use in the library as well as at home with a library card, local resources and a variety of web resources.

Make tracing your family history fun and easy. Find historical census data, marriage and death indexes, military rosters, passenger lists and more.

All materials are available to check out for free with a valid library card from any South Central Library System library. All databases are available to use from home with a valid library card, except for AncestryLibrary, which must be used in library only.
