Members of the City of Madison Police and Fire Department Joint Fire/Arson Investigation Unit have determined the cause of the early morning fire at 2116 Fisher St. to be intentionally set. The preliminary dollar loss as a result of this fire is at $75,000, which includes the structure and contents.

All occupants of the apartment building with the exception of one (1) family were allowed return to their homes later that afternoon.

Madison Metro provided a bus to keep the tenants warm while displaced. Red Cross also assisted with a canteen and assistance to families.
