I appreciate the danger that our officers face every single day, and we are fortunate this incident was not worse. The loss of life is always tragic.This situation is under investigation by Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation, which is a fully independent process. I respect the integrity of the investigative process, and await their report on this incident.
