Fire Department

Neighbors called 911 Sunday morning reporting heavy black smoke originating from the garage of a single family home on the west side of Madison. MFD units responded and Medic 2 was first on the scene. Medic 2 confirmed that fire location was inside the garage. Ladder 2 extinguished the fire with their pre-connect line. There was damage to the garage door, drywall and contents of the garage. All of the damage was contained within the garage however, smoke had permeated into the home. No injuries were reported and residents were not displaced as a result of the fire. Damages are estimated around $20,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
