Fire Department

Engine 8 responded for a vehicle fire at Madison College. E8 arrived to find a vehicle with faint, grey smoke coming from underneath its hood. E8 gained entry to the vehicle via their door kit, as the owner was arriving on scene.  No fire or smoke was found in the engine compartment. The smell of burning plastic or wires was present, and the battery terminals were disconnected by E8 crew, as a precaution. The owner stated that he had arrived to work approximately half an hour earlier and had not seen or smelled anything unusual upon parking his car. Owner stated that he was going to have the car towed.
