Two people were transported to the hospital following a collision on Schroeder Road Thursday afternoon.

Engine 9, Medic 2, and Medic 5 were dispatched after a vehicle was thrust into a tree upon being rear-ended by another vehicle. The force of the collision caused significant front-end and rear-end damage to the vehicle, and airbags did deploy. Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash; only one was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Both passengers were transported by ambulance to the hospital with injuries.
