Narrative:

Multiple injuries resulted from a rear-end collision at the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Zeier Road Sunday morning. Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene alongside Ladder Company 8 and Engine Company 8.

Crews arrived to find a Chevy Suburban on its side with the driver kneeling on the nearby sidewalk. The Suburban rear-ended a small car that was waiting at the stoplight. The Suburban was reportedly traveling approximately the speed limit and it rolled over upon impact. A third vehicle was grazed by the Suburban during the rollover, resulting in a broken rear window and minor damage to the rear bumper of that vehicle.

As the drivers of the primary vehicles were being evaluated, paramedics and EMTs determined there were three patients in the third vehicle who needed to be seen for minor injuries. That’s when a third ambulance was dispatched to assist.

The drivers of all three vehicles were transported to area hospitals with varying degrees of injury, none of which appeared to be life-threatening.
