Ten guests were rescued from a downtown hotel elevator, none reporting illness or injuries.

Engine Company 1 was directed to the express elevator that takes patients from the ground level directly to a 7th floor dining establishment. Power to the elevator was shut down as firefighters made their way to an access door allowing them inside the elevator shaft. The crew opened the top hatch of the elevator car and placed an attic ladder inside, assisting all 10 guests to safety.
