Fire Department

MFD responded along with Madison Police to an outside fire in the area of Raymond Road & Frisch Road. Ladder Co. 7 was flagged down by a bystander just as they noted a fully involved trash fire near the roadside. The pile of discarded belongings consisted of various furniture items, blankets, trash bags, and more.

Using a water-foam concentrate and a roof hook, Ladder 7 extinguished the fire and separated the pile of rubbish. The fire required an estimated 200 gallons of water to extinguish.

The Madison Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Team responded to continue the investigation in partnership with Madison Police. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
