Overnight Crash Leaves One Dead, Three Injured
Madison, WI
The Madison Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle crash at East Washington Avenue and Sparkle Court. Initial reports indicated there were multiple patients and one vehicle may be on fire.
One patient was removed from their vehicle prior to MFD’s arrival, and CPR was in progress. Three other patients were identified, and additional ambulances were called in to assist.
Three people were transported to local hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries. A fourth patient did not survive their injuries.
Although one of the vehicles was smoking, there was no vehicle fire as initially reported. Engine Co. 3 still provided fire protection on scene due to the amount of gasoline and oil on the ground.
Madison Police remained on scene to continue its investigation into the crash.
