One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries following a single-car collision on Gammon Road.

Ladder Company 2 was first dispatched to the scene near the intersection of Gammon Road and Gammon Place. They noted severe front-end damage from what appeared to be a head-on collision with a very large tree along the side of the road. There was one occupant pinned inside the vehicle who would need to be extricated.

Medic 7 and Engine 7 arrived to assist with safely removing the driver from the Ford Focus and initiated emergency medical care.

As paramedics and members of Engine Company 7 transported the man to an area hospital, Engine 2 remained on scene with Madison Police to assist with clean-up. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
