Firefighters and Paramedics from Fire Station 4 on Monroe Street, along with Engine Company 1, were called to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of W. Dayton Street and N. Randall Ave.

Firefighters secured the area as paramedics checked on the patient who remained on scene. He was transported to UW Hospital.

The vehicle suffered significant front-end damage and police thought it might be smoking as it was pulled over near the curb. Though firefighters saw no smoke, they did find a significant oil leak. They applied Oil Dry to the leak to soak up the oil and swept up other debris. A tow truck was called, and MPD remained on scene.
