Fire Department

The Madison Fire Department was sent to Blue Lotus Tattoo & Piercing Lounge on the 6700 block of Odana Road after a vehicle crashed into the front of the building.
 
A passenger truck drove into the structure and broke out the glass entry door, as well as the glass windows on either side of the door. There was also damage to the wall framing below the windows but no loss of structural integrity above.
 
The owner told Ladder Company 2 he inadvertently activated the truck’s remote start, and the unoccupied manual-transmission vehicle moved forward on its own.
 
Nobody was injured during the accident. Property management made arrangements for repairs as firefighters removed all the broken glass from the window frames and taped off the area to keep people out. The scene was eventually turned over to the Madison Police Department.
