Fire Department

The Madison Fire Department responded to a crash involving an SUV and a school bus Friday afternoon at the intersection of Ganswer Way and Westward Way.

Ladder Company 2 and Medic 7 were dispatched for initial reports of injuries, but additional ambulances were soon needed as responders learned of additional injuries.

Two adults inside the SUV reported injuries and were taken to the hospital for a full evaluation.

There were approximately 20 children on the bus, along with the bus driver, at the time of the crash. Initially, no one on board reported injuries. As time progressed, a total of five children reported they were injured. All the children who reported injury were either transported to a local hospital or released to a parent/guardian.

None of the reported injuries are considered to be life-threatening. Madison Police were on scene to continue their investigation into the crash.
