Update:
All but one southbound lane of Stoughton Road remain closed at this time as law enforcement continues to investigate the crash. Motorists are still encouraged to find alternate routes. Three people were transported to area hospitals as a result of this crash.

Narrative:
The Madison Fire Department is on scene of a significant crash on Stoughton Road (Highway 51) near Cottage Grove Road and Buckeye Road. The highway is shut down in this area, and motorists should use alternate routes.
The crash, which occurred around 2:05 PM, reportedly involved three vehicles with at least one patient ejected from their vehicle. Two people have been transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Two additional patients are currently being evaluated by MFD paramedics and EMTs.
