Narrative:

One person was taken to the hospital after being kicked by a horse Wednesday.

Engine Company 4 and Medic 3 responded to the UW Veterinary School and made contact with a 19-year-old who said a horse kicked up its leg and struck them in the head after they’d bent over near the rear of the horse. The patient did not lose consciousness but reported seeing stars.

Paramedics escorted the patient to the ambulance, tended to a wound that resulted from the incident, and transported the patient to a local ER for further medical evaluation.
