Dispatch:
Wednesday, December 16, 2015 - 2:34pm
Arrival:
Wednesday, December 16, 2015 - 2:40pm
Address:
Forge Dr.
Madison, WI
Narrative:

Blustery winds knocked down a Madison man’s ladder while he was hanging Christmas lights on his home Wednesday.

The Forge Dr. resident was also cleaning the gutters from atop the roof of his two-story house when the ladder-- his only means of safely returning to the ground-- fell over.

Neighbors were unable to get the ladder back up, so the Madison Fire Department was called to assist.

Firefighters on Engine 5 arrived moments later and placed their 24-foot ladder against the house. The man was able to climb down on his own, reporting no injuries or any other concerns before firefighters left him to resume his holiday decorating.
