Occupants at Attic Angel Community were asked to stay inside with doors and windows closed temporarily in the wake of a natural gas leak in the area.

A landscape company was digging a trench on the property when they hit a gas line. Engine Company 12 could clearly see and hear the gas leaking from the pipe upon their arrival.

Dane County Public Safety Communications relayed the call to MGE, who responded to the scene. MGE successfully shut off the gas supply and released Engine 12 from the scene just after 9:00 a.m.

Nobody was sick or injured.
