Address:
Anderson Street & Pankrats Street
Madison, WI 53707
Narrative:

A 2003 Ford F-150 was traveling along Anderson Street near Pankratz when its gasoline fuel tank fell off and onto the roadway. About a quarter-gallon of gasoline spilled onto the asphalt, and the spill persisted, in part, because of a pinhole in the tank.

Engine Company 10 responded to the intersection to assess the hazards. They plugged the holes in the tank and applied an absorbent known as Oil Dry to the gasoline spill in the roadway.

A tow truck was called over to take the vehicle away. Firefighters assisted the tow company with emptying the remaining eight gallons of tank fuel into pails to be disposed.
