Fire Department

Four people were taken to the hospital following a crash on inbound East Washington Avenue. Several MFD units (Engine 3, Medic 8, Medic 3, Medic 10, and Medic 5) were dispatched to the intersection of East Washington Ave. and South Sixth St., where a car struck a pole at a high rate of speed. Four passengers were inside the vehicle, and all reported injuries. Madison Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Information regarding extent of injuries is not yet available but may be released at a later time.
