Fire Department

A passing driver noticed smoke coming from a food cart as the hitched trailer made its way down the road Monday afternoon. After being flagged down, the owner of the food cart pulled over and a nearby resident came to the area with a fire extinguisher.
 
When Engine 8 arrived, smoke was still wafting from the top and front of the trailer belonging to Haynes Kitchen. The cart owner removed flammable and heat-generating items from the cart, and firefighters used a water can to spray into several seams in the trailer wall to cool any hot spots. Using a thermal imaging camera, they also confirmed that no fire remained.
 
The food cart suffered some damage, including discoloration and charring on the internal walls.
