Fire Department

Engine 7 responded to a passenger vehicle fire on Schroeder Rd. Wednesday morning. The fire had been in the car’s engine compartment. A bystander put the fire out with an extinguisher, and Engine 7 used 50 gallons of water to overhaul it. The owner reports that he wasn’t driving the vehicle when the fire began, but it had been driven within the ten minutes prior to the fire. No mechanical work had been done to the car in the recent past.
