Fire Department

A brush fire discovered behind a residence on Voges Road quickly gained steam thanks to a gusting breeze that fueled it. Engine Co. 14 responded to the area and made a quick attack on the portions of the fire they were able to reach. After repositioning, they attacked another side of the fire that was threatening buildings and neighboring property.

McFarland Fire was summoned to assist, and the fire was put to a stop before it could reach any buildings or other structures. The area was thoroughly soaked and overhauled to ensure the fire could not rekindle.

Firefighters determined the fire was accidental as a result of some recent burning done on the property.
