Address:
6000 American Parkway

Narrative:

Firefighters were called to 6000 American Parkway Wednesday morning to check on smoke coming from a vehicle in the parking garage. Bystanders stepped in to open the hood of the vehicle just prior to Engine Co. 11’s arrival. Firefighters took a closer look and found a small rodent’s nest on fire atop the crankcase of the vehicle’s engine. The crew put a stop to the fire before it could cause any discernable damage to the vehicle.

As winter sets in, critters may try to seek refuge under the hood of your vehicle, especially if you park your vehicle outside. Open your hood periodically and check to make sure a furry friend isn’t creating a fire hazard right under your nose.
