City of Madison Firefighters responded to the City Sanctioned Campground around 1:15 p.m. on the 3200 block of Dairy Drive across from Fire Station #14.

Firefighters could see heavy smoke from the fire station and by the time they were on site, the cabin had burned to the ground. Staff on site said the cabin burned down very quickly. Crews pulled a hose line to extinguish the remaining flames.

FIT – Fire Investigation Team is still on site, investigating the cause.

No report of firefighters or civilian injuries.

Estimated $15,500 in damage.
