Narrative:

The Madison Fire Department responded to a fire at a single family home on Reinke Drive on the City’s north side just after five this evening. Neighbors reported seeing flames at the back side of the home and saw the residents escaping. Arriving firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming out of the roof. A fire attack was started and a team began a search of the house to confirm that all of the occupants had made their way out. The fire was knocked down in about fifteen minutes. The home will be uninhabitable until repairs are made due the extensive damage that occurred throughout the home from the flames and smoke. Investigators have started to work to determine the cause of the fire and provide an estimate of the damages. They hope to have more information regarding the fire as early as tomorrow.
