Fire Department

The Madison Fire Department responded to the 4500 block of Rahel Street for a detached shed on fire. Engine Co. 5 arrived and found flames emanating from the shed. Firefighters pulled a line to put out the fire and cool any hot spots. Occupants were home at the time and reported the fire. They tried unsuccessfully to extinguish the fire with buckets of water prior to MFD’s arrival. The MFD Fire Investigation Team responded, and the fire remains under investigation. Damages are currently estimated at about $1,500. There were no injuries reported.
