Fire Department

Multiple 911 calls were made early Thursday morning to report a boat on fire in a parking lot on the 1800 block of E. Washington Avenue. Engine Co. 3 responded and located a fully-involved cabin cruiser boat. There were no other nearby vehicles or buildings threatened by the fire.

Engine Co. 3 stretched a bumper line and suppressed the fire. Firefighters checked the interior and confirmed nobody was inside the boat. The MFD Fire Investigation Team also responded. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
