Narrative:
A trash compactor outside the Cheesecake Factory caught fire, sending firefighters to the West Towne Mall restaurant.
The fire was contained to the dumpster when Ladder Company 2 arrived just moments after receiving the call. The fire was not threatening the building or other nearby objects.
Ladder 2 and Medic 2 quickly extinguished the fire, and Engine 9 assisted with overhauling the contents to ensure the fire was completely out.
A mall manager arranged to have the dumpster removed as soon as possible.
