Arrival:
Monday, October 8, 2018 - 7:31pm
Address:
600 block Williamson Street
Madison, WI 53703
Narrative:

Medic 3 and Engine Company 3 were dispatched to the 600 block of Williamson Street after a vehicle struck an electrical box that controls the traffic lights at the intersection. The mid-sized sedan was situated atop the power box that controls the traffic lights at the intersection of Williamson, Blair, and Wilson Streets and John Nolen Drive.

As paramedics treated the female driver for non-life threatening injuries, firefighters confirmed the vehicle was not energized by the electrical components within the traffic control box. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the area after electrical power to the box was shut down.

The driver did not want to be taken to the hospital. Paramedics advised her to seek medical attention on her own, especially if symptoms changed or worsened. The scene was turned over to MPD.
