Narrative: 

One person was transported to the hospital with injuries following a collision at the intersection of Raymond Road and Reetz Road. Medic 7 and Ladder 7 were dispatched along with Madison Police after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle. The cyclist was found prone on the roadway when paramedics and EMTs arrived, and the driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The driver estimates she was traveling about 30 MPH at the time of the collision.

Standard spinal precautions were taken as the patient was loaded onto a cot and into the ambulance. The cyclist was initially unresponsive but became responsive and began answering questions en route to the hospital. He was able to describe where he believed he was injured. Paramedics also assessed vital signs and provided necessary emergency medical care en route to the ER. Police officers remained on scene, and accompanied paramedics to the hospital, to continue their investigation into the crash. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening at the time of transport.
