Arrival:
Monday, December 12, 2016 - 6:17am
Address:
Gammon Lane / S. Gammon Road
Madison, WI 53703
Narrative:

A vehicle collided with a taxi cab at the intersection of Gammon Lane and S. Gammon Road Monday, resulting in two passengers being transported to area hospitals.

The taxi sustained moderate front-end damage after another smaller car pulled in front of it, causing a t-bone collision and prompting airbags inside the taxi to deploy. Considering the speed limit at that location and winter weather driving conditions, it’s estimated the taxi was traveling less than 25 miles per hour when the collision occurred.

Ladder Company 7 and three MFD ambulances were dispatched to the location following reports of multiple injuries. One passenger riding in the taxi was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries when she as thrown into the divider that separates the front seats from the back seats. A total of two passengers were evaluated and transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
