Address:
3200 block Ridgeway Ave.
Madison, WI
Narrative:

An east side citizen says he took a motorcycle ride on Saturday and didn't experience any problems, but shortly after stepping inside his home that afternoon he heard a “loud pop” from his driveway. He stepped outside to find his motorcycle in flames. He attempted to extinguish the fire on his own using a garden hose and fire extinguisher, but when that didn’t work, he called the Madison Fire Department.

Engine 8 arrived to find the motorcycle fully engulfed in flames, and a nearby wood fence and garbage can also caught fire.

Using their 200-foot 1 ¾-inch hose line, firefighters extinguished all items on fire. The house went unscathed, but a nearby truck suffered some damage, including a melted grill, lights, and bumper.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
