Wingra Woodwind Quintet performs at Madison Senior Center

The Senior Center proudly presents the Wingra Woodwind Quintet on Monday, May 11 at 12:30 pm. Since its formation in 1965, the Quintet has established a tradition of artistic and teaching excellence. Praised for performances that are “consistently sophisticated, sensitive and thoroughly vital” (Peter Davis, The New York Times), Wingra has appeared at Carnegie Hall and on live broadcasts on Wisconsin Public Radio and Chicago’s premiere classical music station, WFMT. They have released several recordings. Current ensemble players are Stephanie Jutt, flute; Kostantinos Tilakos, oboe; Linda Bartley, clarinet; Marc Vallon, bassoon; and Linda Kimball, horn.
