Warner Park: Fox and Badger Tales with Julie Melton
Take a stroll with school naturalist Julie Melton to learn a bit about the history of the prairies that made Wisconsin the Badger State and the woodlands where the Red Fox makes its den. Other animals we love each have their own nature story to tell. How are these important parts of Wisconsin's natural heritage doing today and what can we do to accommodate them alongside human activities?

Free, family-friendly Bird and Nature Walks are offered year-round on Sunday afternoons 1:30-3:00 pm. Discover the hidden natural areas in four of Madison's most beautiful parks and conservancies. Volunteer trip leaders and participants share their enthusiasm about nature and the birds, plants, and animals. Walks are on easy paths through scenic areas. Enjoy healthy nature recreation with a bit of nature education!

No registration is required. Please wear appropriate clothing, insect repellant, and footwear for the weather and hiking. Dogs are not allowed. Binoculars, cameras and children are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, contact Paul Noeldner (608) 698-0104.
